Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms is a family owned business, specialising in kitchen and bathroom renovations. Shaun Makings is the owner and qualified cabinetmaker, with over 20 years experience in the industry. Shaun will meet with you in your home to discuss your individual needs and provide you with designs which will optimise your space and to suit your needs. You will be provided with a range of selections for finishes and storage solutions, which can be seen at our showroom.
Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms specialise in practical stylish kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, custom cabinetry such as laundries, entertainment units, wardrobes and other joinery, that complement any lifestyle. Our stunning designs are individually customised, bringing efficiency and elegance to the most important spaces in your home.
From the initial design through to the selection of hardware and finishes and installation, our clients experience minimal disruption to their everyday life.

We pride ourselves in providing a full suite of services including: design, manufacture and installation, and co-ordination of other trades. We can meet with you at a time suitable, including after hours at your home to discuss your needs.

Design Service
This includes a free consultation with you either at the showroom and/or at your home and identifying your individual requirements and creating a design especially for you, whilst incorporating the best use of space, functionality, ergonomics and storage considerations. We will advise and assist you with selecting products and colours for your new kitchen and cabinetry. Our designs are based on the Blum dynamic space concept, which takes into account better ergonomics, optimal work flows; and access and sufficient storage & space.
Product selection:
We assist you with selecting finishes, including bench tops, door selection, colours, storage options, appliances and bathroom fittings. Our showroom has one bathroom and 2 kitchens where you can view our high quality workmanship. A large range of supplier samples are on display in our showroom for you to choose from.
Manufacture and installation of cabinetry:
We ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail by ensuring all work is performed by us. Manufacturing and assembling of cabinetry are performed by our qualified tradesmen in our factory. Installation of cabinetry is performed by our qualified tradesmen, to ensure your dream kitchen & bathroom and interiors are installed to perfection.
Project management of other trades:
To alleviate any stress, we co-ordinate other trades (such as electrician, tiler, painter, plumber and plasterer).
